Lesson notes and scheme of work

Online lesson notes, organised by your scheme of work

Lesson notes in exercise books get lost, can’t be shared, and are hard for a head of school to check before an inspection. Students who miss a class have nothing to catch up from.

In SchoolEasy, teachers write each week’s note against the scheme of work, and students and parents read it online.

Lesson notes listed by week and subject in SchoolEasy

Week by week, the way the scheme of work runs

Each note belongs to a class, a subject, a term, and a week, so a term’s notes line up with the weeks of your scheme of work. Teachers list the topics a note covers and an estimated reading time, and a subject’s notes show as a grid of weeks.

  • Notes by term, week, class, and subject
  • Topic lists for each note
  • A week-by-week view of the term

A proper editor, with attachments

Teachers write with headings, lists, and images, and attach PDFs and pictures such as diagrams or past worksheets. Notes can sit in draft until the teacher is ready to publish them.

  • Headings, lists, and images
  • PDF and image attachments
  • Draft and published notes

One place for the head of school to check

Heads of school see every teacher’s notes in one place, so it’s easy to see which weeks are covered and which are missing before an inspection or the end of term.

  • Every note in one place
  • Coverage by week
  • No more collecting exercise books

Students and parents can revisit every lesson

Published notes appear for the class’s students and their parents. A student who was absent catches up from the note, and parents can follow what’s being taught each week.

  • Published notes for students
  • Visible to parents in the app
  • Catch up after an absence
